This young man's name is Shanker a/l Valusamy from Damansara Damai, PJ. He is 30 years old. He lost his right leg in a hit and run accident on 04-09-2001. He is married with two kids. His kids are taken care by a welfare home and his wife and he are working in the said welfare home. His wife and he came from broken families and his wife grew up in a children's home too.
His present artificial leg (using since year 2003) is broken and needs a replacement which cost about RM7,300. He receives RM300 every month from the Welfare Dept which is insufficient for him and his family. Since he has financial constraints, he decided to ask for public donations.

Shanker and his wife wish to start a small food stall but they need a minimum capital of about RM3k. They want to live independently and the food stall business will help them to grow. I am planning to raise RM11k or more for his artificial leg and capital to start the food stall business.
